Better

Yesterday around 1:30 Mallory began vomiting. So I called the on call doc from ENT and they asked a few questions and told me to take her to the ER. That was a little difficult being that Clint was still in the midst of moving from one building to the other trying to get their network back up so if I went I was going to need to take the boys which didn't sound like fun either. So I called my sis in law and she came and stayed with the boys and then clint was able to come home until we got home. We got there at 4p.m. and didn't even get back to a room until 6:45p.m. Then they had to stick her twice to get the IV in which she was very upset about but the IV made her feel so much better and they changed her pain med. By the time the fluid ran in she was actually making jokes and asking to eat. We got home around 10:30 and she was exhausted so she went straight to bed and seems okay this morning just in a little pain we have to wait for the pharmacy to open to go get the new pain med filled so she is just taking plain tylenol which doesn't quit cut the pain. Hopefully she will cont. to drink and maybe eat something for the first time since Wed.!!! Anyway that is where we are now.. Hopefully it is only going to get better!!

Mallory

Why do I always count my chickens before they hatch.. Mallory took a turn down the wrong road late Wed. night... She is in a lot of pain hasn't eaten anything I mean nothing since Wed around 7p.m.. She has maybe drank 4oz of liquid in the last 24 hours and she is so high on pain meds that she looks like a zombie.. She has a low grade temp which is normal but I am sure only makes her feel even worse. I just talked to the nurse at the ENT clinic and she said no matter what the girl has to drink or she will end up in the hospital for dehydration which duh I am a nurse like I didn't know that already but it is like I told her it is hard to tell a 7 year old that, especially one that is "high" She told me to work my mommy magic, but I guess I must be a really bad mommy cause I can't find the right spell.. We have tried sprite, gatorade, sonic slushes, water, juice.. Nothing every time she swallows my heart breaks for her I see the instant pain come over her. I feel so helpless.. I don't want her to end up in the hospital, but maybe they just shouldn't shove little kids that just had surgery out the door so soon? Right now I am trying to figure out what to do about going to the store.. Clint is working crazy long hours for the move to the new building so he is no help and we are out of Milk ( a necessity) and other things like Motrin (also a necessity).. I will think of something, but sometimes it really sucks not living closer my parents/in laws so that we could get help whenever we needed it.. Okay I am done complaining I have to go figure out how get baby poop out of the carpet and clean up pee off the bathroom floor and about 500 other things. Why is it when it rains it poors, but this to shall pass and right now there are people dealing with a lot worse than this.. We will be just fine!!!

It is over!!!

Mallory is home and resting!!! Everything went well and very FAST!!! Our surgery time got bumped back to 11a.m. and she was in and out of surgery by 12 and we were on our way to pick up the boys from Aunt Jamie's by 1p.m.!! Can you believe that? It was like drive thru tonsillectomy! She did great she was just a little confused when she woke up but her pain seems to be tolerable and she is drinking and eating fine.. I think she is going to bounce back really fast!!! Thanks to Aunt Jamie and Grandma for watching the boys and letting us wreck your house!! And to everyone else for your gifts, calls and prayers!!!

Funnies

Cavin calls his ouchies "bleeds" I don't know why? But it is cute... Today while we were driving he said" mommy I broken need go hospital get backyardigans band aid.." I said what your broken he said "yes my bleed is broken need go hospital.." What in the world was all that about? Just goes to show you that their little minds work in funny ways what we tell them they translate into their own language..

We went to a summer concert this morning it was Jim Cosgrove "Mr.Stinky Feet" The kids had a great time this guy is awesome.. Anyway Carter got to be his "lead Singer" he actually got to use a real microphone and sing the song with Mr.Stinky Feet.. It was so CUTE and of course I didn't take my camera, I did take a couple pics with my cellphone I will see how they turned out maybe I can get them on here somehow... He was so proud of himself. After it was over I said Carter you did a great job and he said "I know Mom I am a great singer" my teacher taught me!!!

Swim Adventure

We went swimming with our friends on Friday night it was the first time we have been to a pool since the Great Wolf Lodge... The water was COLD, but it didn't stop us all from having a great time.. Here are some pictures I got of Clint and Carter doing flips into the water and of Clint throwing Carter.. Carter is not scared of the water as long as he has his life jacket on and anytime it comes to flips he has no fear. We are thinking of putting him in gymnastics. Never seen a 3 year be able to do a back flip.. Crazy Kid gives me a heart attack just watching him tumble and flip!! Needless to say Cavin and Maxton weren't so crazy about the cold water, but they had still had fun..

Mallory Jenae... Cont..

I feel like I hardly ever talk about Mallory so today I posted some pictures I took of her at the park.. She really doesn't like me to take her picture much these days because of her toothless mouth, but I think she looks adorable with all those empty spaces in her mouth!!!
Mallory is my right hand she is a second mother to these boys and without her I wouldn't be able to get through most days.. She loves to take care of the boys especially Maxton.. She is begging Clint and I to have another baby.. She reminds me so much of myself. I know she will make a wonderful mommy some day.. She loves to play house and baby dolls. She loves to listen to music, play outside, have lemonade stands and anything to do with art and her imagination. I am telling you she can take a empty papertowl roll and make it something special.. She is a big Daddy's girl and she has him wrapped around her finger.. They are such great friends sometimes I am alittle jealous of their relationship... She says things that are way beyond her years, she is so mature for her age.. What else can I say? She is just a wonderful beautiful little girl who we all love very much...
