2. What was your reaction when you found out you were pregnant? Shock even though we had been trying... I don't think it matters 1st or 6th it is a Shock for me!!
3. How old were you? 20
4. How did you find out you were pregnant? I was a nurse working in a clinic the lab tech drew my blood and ran a test and then paged me to the lab and told me!
5. Who did you tell first? I went home to tell Clint but he said "I was expecting this two days ago!"
6. Did you want to find out the sex? I did, Clint didn't but with my job it was to easy to sneak and peek!! So we knew what we were having but didn't tell anyone else!!
7. Due date? Oct.21st,2000
8. Did you deliver early or late? Late.. Induced on Oct.27th born Oct.28th
9. Did you have morning sickness? Didn't puke a whole lot just felt like I could all the time
10. What did you crave? Salad, pickles, and cherry tomatoes
11. What irritated you the most? It felt like it took forever I was so excited to have my baby
12. What was your first child's sex? Girl.. (my only girl so far)
13. How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy?23
14. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Yes my eye's went wacky one day due to the hormones it was weird and annoying but only lasted about 3 days
15. Where did you give birth? Mercy On Sunset in Manhattan

They Share.....

My Mom and Carter share the same Birthday!! I actually was induced on purpose on my mom's birthday!! I told her it was the gift of a life time :)
So tomorrow she will turn the Big 50 and Carter will turn 5!! That is pretty Cool huh??

Carter's 5th Birthday

Birthday Boy!!!

Well Tom Jan. 23rd Carter will celebrate his 5th birthday!! I don't see how this is possible? My baby the baby I longed for what seemed like forever will be going to Kindergarten next year, be 5 years old and I don't know how this happened??
Carter is definitely the lover of the bunch, he is sneaky naughty, athletic, funny, great at puzzles he has been putting together 100 piece puzzles for about 8mths, doesn't really know how to play with anyone but Mason, doesn't share at all especially with Cavin even if what Cavin wants isn't his but Mason's, still sucks his thumb and wants to rub skin, started throwing tantrums about 2 months ago if he doesn't get what he wants very annoying, loves his "mans"(action figures), has been riding his bike without training wheels for 19mths he learned the day after we brought Maxton home from the hospital, not sure about going to school everyday next year, loves to watch cartoons and play wii!!
That little boy is growing up so fast.. Where does time go?? Clint and I have been so blessed by these wonderful kids, but sometimes I think we forget and their birthdays always seem to help remind us!!!

I know, I know

I have to be honest I have been so extremely tired that I am lucky to be living in a half way clean house, with some clean clothes and half way taken care of kids!!! Clint tells me nightly how disappointing it is to check my blog and find No new news and then yesterday two of my closest friends told me I was disappointing them too!! So I figure it is time for a new post.. The pregnancy is moving along at turtle pace, at my last dr.'s appt. I was told everything was fine and the heartbeat sounded Good!! You know the old saying women wouldn't have more than one child if they remembered the pain they went through during labor and delivery to me it is not about the labor and delivery (thank you epidural) I forget what kinda toll the first 18 weeks and the last 9 weeks take on your body... I realize I have more kids this time around than the other times, but holly crap this isn't as Great as I remember it... I am Completely EXHAUSTED, nauseous, FAT, MOODY (Clint has another name for it but I won't write it) I feel so completely not myself,one minute I am crying the next yelling for no reason.. I hate being this way I want myself back and I am sure my Husband and Children want me back too.. So why I would like to enjoy this last pregnancy experience of my life I would like it to go quickly so I can come back!!!

As far as everyone else life is normal!! Clint just got back from a weekend bird hunting trip with his brothers and friends and didn't really sound like a very successful trip as far as the hunting goes, but at least he got a break and had a good time (I think)!!! He is still working really hard especially this time of year getting budgets ready for the next fiscal year, all his manager duties plus his regular computer geek problems!!! A few weekends ago he decided it was time to get rolling on the bathroom in the basement so he rented a jack hammer and chipped the floor away and now we are left with a HUGE mess and a big hole.. I had no idea that cement dust would make that big of a mess..Ugh :(
Mallory is doing great in school!! Her reading has improved so much in the last few months it is amazing! She continues to be the drama queen of the house (surprise surprise she is her mothers daughter). She loves girl scouts and just got done with her cookie sales so if you bought cookies from her they are here!! She has decided to play softball this summer and I am very excited about this I really have a feeling she will be good at it!!
Mason is struggling a bit at school, but has such an amazing teacher that I try not to worry to much.. He is such a SMART kid he just has trouble pulling stuff back out after he stores it away. He loves to play basketball at recess so we are looking into putting up a goal in the driveway this spring!!

Cavin continues to amuse me daily.. Lately he has started throwing tantrums that have really got me baffled.. I hate that he screams"I hate you" at me and his brother and sisters when he doesn't get his way. He is still to attached to his blankies and his thumb!! He is getting pretty good at Mario Bro's on Mason's DS which for a 3 year old I think is pretty amazing. He loves to play board games, make crafts, and just let me hold him.. He has started rubbing my face and then he will say"I luv you" which is soooo sweet!!
Maxton oh Maxton the naughty one!! Still into everything.. He talks soooooooooooooo much, but his new favorite word besides No is Fart yes isn't it lovely? The poor guy has had a constant cold for about 6 weeks, he did antibiotics for 10 days about 2 weeks ago and woke up this a.m. with a yucky nose and gooey eyes... He doesn't know how to play with toys he only wants into what he is not supposed to be in.. He does love to play head,shoulders, knees and toes and tell you what different animals say, and he loves to read certain books although his attention spand doesn't allow more than 2 mins of reading :)

I guess you can say Life is Good here, just busy and tired!!! We are going to miss this when it's gone I am sure of that !!!

Back to Routine

Yesterday was the older kids first day back to school after winter break and I have to say it was hard to get out of bed at 6:45 and get everything going, but some how I managed and did it FAST.. I had french toast and scrambled eggs ready by 7:05, kids out of bed and dressed hair brushed and eating by 7:15 and lunches packed and everyone shoes, coats and book bags ready by 7:34a.m. holly cow!! They were actually early(for a "M" kid)!! After they left I got the dishwasher unloaded, a load of laundry started, beds made, kitchen clean, the other 3 kids feed and dressed and then began cleaning the upstairs finished that made some lunch and that my friends is when the FUN began!! As one of my friends said to me yesterday "Never a dull day at "M" house"!! We had finished our lunch and I was talking to my good friend on the phone as Carter put a mint in his mouth I began to leave the room and then I heard him cry, but it only lasted a split second so I ran back to see what was wrong and found my almost 5year old trying to cry with no sound coming out and his face turning red, so I went into nurse mode after two attempts at trying to get the mint out I could hear the throw up coming so I shoved us into the kitchen as I am screaming at Carter "is it out yet is that better" he still is making no sound so I bent him over and slapped his back and between the BIG slap I gave him and the force of the vomit the mint went Flying across the room and the throw up luckily went on the wood floor.. So after I cleaned that up Cavin began getting really fussy, so I put Maxton to bed so I could set and hold Cavin, but when that boy is in pain you better watch out cause he is down right MEAN finally after him hitting at me, screaming and kicking I tried to give him some Ibuprofen that he then took over to the sink and dumped out screaming at me the whole time after getting him calmed down I discovered that he had a earache.. We have this great thing in town called Simple Care which is a walk in clinic staffed by some great people so I decided rather than waiting it out I would just take him in and I was in and out of that office in Record time 15mins tops!! Yes his ear was really infected causing him lots of pain so we got some medicine filled at the pharmacy and went to pick up the kids from school.. Then it was home to help with homework, finish supper, take a shower to get ready for my PTO meeting and give a few baths then off to my meeting which ran long, I didn't get home until 9p.m.!! Needless to say it was a long day and a very eventful day but it was productive, routine is back which my kids need, and we are all fine so in my book it was a Great Day!!!

Oh My

I got so busy yesterday that I didn't have time to get on here and wish the most important person in my life a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

To my wonderful husband, I love you more than words can say, you are my best friend, you keep this family running (even though sometimes I fight you tooth and nail), your the best Dad a kid could ask for, and for the most part the Best husband a women could want... Just like every other couple we go through our ups and downs, but I wouldn't want to be going through them with anyone but you... I am so proud of you and the man you have become amazes me!!! Next year we will celebrate a Big Birthday and I promise to NOT be pregnant so we can do it up right!!!
