I've spent my day...

Taking care of a fussy baby who doesn't know if he wants held or put down to play, who has a yucky cold, at least 4 teeth coming in and is spoiled anyway.. A toddler who we now know to have a virus of some sort, but that wasn't without a urgent trip to the "ER" to rule out meningitis and strep throat after two hours of crying,screaming, limbs flailing, a low grade temp and a "HORRIBLE" headache.. I am now really far behind on my days duties and exhausted mentally and physically and I still have LOTS of dishes to do, a kitchen to clean, a floor to vacuum popcorn off of, kids to bathe, stories to read, teeth to brush and kids to tuck into bed.. I need to say thanks to my wonderful group of friends Amy for rushing over when all you did was call to chat for organizing the "posse" for kids to be picked up from school and drooped off where they need to be, To Stacey and Jennifer for being the ones to pick up and drop off.. Thanks Ladies it is so nice to have GREAT friends I couldn't live without you all.. Hope we don't spread the germ since all of you were here this a.m. for coffee :(

Well it is time to finish this day if I am lucky I will hit my pillow by 11!!!!

I spent my day.....

At the NASCAR Races with Clint.. I know it doesn't exactly sound like something I would enjoy but the FREE Alcohol and food (we had suite tickets) is hard to pass up and to tell you the truth I kinda like the "races". The Atmosphere, the noise, the people to watch, the speed, picking your driver it is all kinda fun oh ya and my favorite part spending alone time with my husband!!! We had a great time, too much to drink and best of all new the kids were in great hands ( Clint's sister Jamie came to watch them how do you repay somebody for that? Jamie thanks a million we look forward to paying you back in a few years!!) Anyway we had a great time and are looking forward to our next race!!!

the second picture is of him telling the dog ( a really bad german sherpard) next door "bad bad dog" he points at it and says this. this is my way of trying to get him to stay away from the neighbors fence for fear that if he sticks his little hand in there it will be eaten off.. and yes I have tried to get this dog removed from the neighborhood, but we have to wait until it really hurts someone as if almost killing my yorkie isn't a look at what it could do to one of my children. it makes me so mad i see stars. we have had many conversations with the neighbors but they just don't see a problem? oh well enough of that i just wanted to share these cute pictures of my monkey baby!!

Cavin

Cavin's 3rd birthday party was a success.. He had a great time opening presents and blowing out his candles which is a big change from last year when he cried the minute everyone starting singing Happy Birthday to him (guess we are pretty bad singers :) !! I wanted to get a few of the things he is doing at 3 down for my record so bear with me:
1) He asks for a "washer rag" to wipe his hands
2) Me: Cavin do you know where Maxton is?
Cavin: "I no know" (I don't know) .... so cute
3) If Daddy or Mommy or really anyone is doing something that he doesn't like he will say
"Daddy is a bad boy, he's naughty"

He can count to 12 and says him ABC's . Knows most colors and is working on his shapes. He loves the book No David and can read it from memory. He loves to me to read to him, loves the park, loves his little read motorcycle that nobody can figure out how he rides so fast!, wants to be just like his big brothers, doesn't go anywhere without one of his "blankies", comes up to me at least 10 times a day gives me a hug and looks up at me with those big blue eyes and says I love you mommy, will play almost anything if asked, his best friend is Sadie Kuhn and that is just how he says it not just Sadie.. He cries a lot and recently started throwing some pretty rotten tantrums. But he is our Cavin and we wouldn't trade him for anything. We love you big boy!! Mommy

Look How Tiny!!!

Zachary and Maxton June 14th 2007.. When Zach came to visit Maxton in the hospital. And on their way out of the hospital the staff questioned where Torrey and Val were taking the baby thinking they were leaving against medical advice, but he was born 2 days earlier at a different hospital!!! We are really hoping these little cousins turn into great friends!!! Thanks Val for the cute pic only makes me want another one :(

I realized.......

I realized yesterday (no offense to my current Friends cause I love you all and couldn't imagine life without you) how very very very much I miss Manhattan it took almost 3 years,but yesterday as I was sitting outside in the driveway alone (well besides the kids) I began to get teary eyed thinking of all the days in Manhattan sitting outside in the driveway with my friends chatting and chatting and laughing and having a good time.. I miss Jill and Kylie, but yet we don't keep in touch maybe because it is to hard to think about how great those couple of years were and now that we are far apart we really don't have that much in common anymore. Mallory often brings up her best bud Riley and wonders what she is up to. Mason grew up with Hunter and now hardly speaks of him. There is always talk of going for a visit but it never seems to get done.. Anyway I miss you Manhattan Friends Tiff,Jill and Kylie!!! I am thinking of you and would love for you to drop me a line and let me know how things are!! Friends may not always be in your life, but the impact they have on you while they are there is forever!!!

Mason's Tooth

Over the weekend that I went to Yoeder my wonderful friend Amy (in my eyes quilting/sewing expert) helped me sew all 4 boys a tooth fairy pillow.. As a child I had one that was made by a friend of the family and I still remember it well. So Amy got me started and we ended up making 4 of them and right in time too, because Sunday night it came to Mallory's attention that Mason's permanent tooth was coming in behind his loose baby tooth so Clint said either Mason you let me pull it or Mommy takes you to the dentist and they pull it, as Mason sat there in the chair debating which sounded less painful Clint put his finger on the tooth and did what looked like harmless wiggling, pulled down and then told Mason okay spit it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holly Cow he pulled the tooth and Mason didn't scream, cry, or punch him (which is what I would have done).. So as you can see the tooth fairy pillow came in real handy on Sunday night!! The next morning he ran downstairs to show us "his money" a whopping $5 man the tooth fairy's rates have really gone up since I was a kid ;) So my baby is turning into a big boy right before my very eyes and man is it heartbreaking yet exciting!! I love all these kids sooooooooo much I couldn't imagine my life any other way!!

Better Late than Never...

This week started off with me getting back from my trip to scrape book with my good friend Amy at a retreat in Yoeder Kansas.. We had a marvelous time. The food was amazing, it was so quiet you could here a pin drop, the beds were comfy and the little town full of Amish people was neat. We will be going back there again hopefully in the spring with a bigger group! The women who runs it Janet makes you feel right at home from your first step through the door, baking cookies and providing you with drinks and my favorite part making you meals and doing your dishes!! What more could a Mom ask for someone to take care of you for a change!!! Anyway I miss Janet terribly and can't wait to stay again!! Oh lets not forget her adorable daughter Augusta who is a whiz on the cricut machine and is only 9 years old what a sweetie!!! Cavin's 3!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to you!! Happy Birthday to you!! My big 3 year old! You are the sweetest little boy. You put a smile on my face at least once a day. I believe your world would be complete with candy and a your blankie and I love that. I love how you hold my hand and give me kisses and say "I luv you". I hate that your older brothers don't play with you very much but I am thankful for your baby brother because I know that you two will be best of friends! You play dolls, house, dress up or whatever else sissy's asks and you don't mind. You are still a baby, but I know it is only a matter of time before you to will be a "big boy"!! Daddy and I LOVE You so much "SABIN"!!! Happy Birthday!
