Upcoming
The week of Feb. 7 to the 14th is CHD awareness week! This is obviously something that has become a huge part of our life since July 2009. During that week I hope to have something new up on the blog daily to help spread awareness for CHD. So look for that in the meantime head on over to Blog for CHD (its on my sidebar) and read some of the articles.
Also if anyone would like to donate money to the American Heart Association, Mason and Carter will be participating in JumpRope for Heart Feb.2 and 3rd at school in Honor of Maccoy. You can send me the check made out to The American Heart Association!! They are so excited to help their baby brother and all kids like him!!

Just a Post...
Well its just another day in paradise.... If paradise is freezing cold, full of chaos, with 2 sick babies and a absentee husband/daddy! Life around here the last few weeks has been crazy! It is budget season for Clint which means extremely long hours tons of pressure/stress and never ending workdays(I am talking 7a.m. to 3a.m. daily),but on a positive note (trying to do more positive thinking) at least he has a job!
The babies are growing growing growing. Despite my constant talks with them to just stay babies forever!! They both have cut their first tooth and Maccoy actually just cut his second bottom tooth today!! Cayne sleeps through the night pretty much every night but Maccoy who needs the extra calories (plus he just likes to get in bed with mommy) still gets up around 2:30a.m. every night.. yes we cosleep with our babies sometimes especially in the middle of the night when all we want to do is sleep! It's exhausting taking care of 7 kids and the house and working crazy long hours! Neither baby can sit up alone yet at least for very long, they roll all over especially Cayne but Maccoy isn't far behind, Cayne gets up on all fours but hasn't really done more than that. And I am not pushing them I want them to stay babies forever! Sometimes I sit and just look at them and tell myself REMEMBER this how they smell, how small they are, how special it is to see that Big smile looking at me just because they see me walk into the room, how soft their baby skin is, how sweet their breath smells, the way it feels to nurse them to sleep and then cuddle them, to hear them coo or hold each others hand.. I want to bottle it up and keep it forever to be able to open it whenever I want to remember how sweet precious and absolutely perfect they were. Oh my goodness I LOVE this stage sooooo much. Sometimes I feel like I don't get to hold/play with them as much as I want to, but I have to admit I have been making a lot more time to just enjoy them and letting other things go (i.e. laundry housework just ask my friends we are living like pigs or at least by my standards).
School schedule is back in full swing, Mallory and Mason do fine with the morning routine, but poor Cavin does good for the first two days but by day 3(Thurs) he is a bear from the time we get him up until the time he goes to bed. He loves preschool and his teacher Miss Liz and is making new friends. So that is all good! Clint and I laugh everyday when he runs to the bus Clint says "he is just to little to get on that big bus" but he loves it!!
Maxton has found a new passion in life to be just like his Daddy! He spends most of his days in his boots and his "wetshirt"(hoodie) carrying anything that he thinks resembles a gun shooting deer, putting them in his truck and cutting them up! My great white hunter!! Daddy is so proud!! He also has figured out that he loves certain TV shows. This child would never sit still long enough to watch TV until last week when he caught a glimpse of the stupidest cartoon and fell in love with it and now begs to watch it all day. I am trying to push him into another direction because I HATE Yo Gabba Gabba it is the dumbest show I have seen. All of us are keeping our fingers crossed that he finds a new love soon because we don't know if we can stand to watch it again!! Also I must brag a little because well this is my blog and it's about my kids!! Maxton can talk better than any 2 year old I know including my other kids except maybe Mallory.. The boy can just rattle on and on forever. Tell stories like you wouldn't believe. The other night Clint offered him something and he looked at Clint and said "no thank you". It is amazing what he picks up from his older sister and brothers both good and bad ;) He has started to use a word I use and know I shouldn't so I am working on cutting it out and replacing it with something a little more kid friendly!(fricken)
Mason continues his love of science! He got a couple of science experiment kits for xmas and is really hoping Daddy will have sometime this weekend to help him with a few!! His reading has really gotten good and we are so happy and thankful for all the help he has received from his amazing teachers!! He is almost done with his big lego set and is already trying to talk us into buying him a new one to start on! He continues to be my sweet, eager to help all around good boy! I have a feeling that Clint and I will continue to have a good/close relationship with him!
Mallory continues to bring the drama into the house! Isn't that what the only girl in a house full of boys is suppose to do!! She continues to get straight A's on her report card! Math tends to be her best subject! And of course she is always doing some kind of art or craft here at home! The teenage years with this one scares me a bit! The door slamming, yelling and crazy drama that girls bring (I know because well just ask my mom that was me in a nutshell and paybacks are hell or so my mom reminds me daily) to our life!!
Carter has started bringing little books home daily to read. He is actually doing pretty well, but hopefully it will get a lot better before May! He continues to amaze us with his ability in Math as well. He is a social butterfly always talking about all his friends at school! Seems like we always run into someone who knows him but of course he can never remember their name! I would label him as the family clown! He is all boy this one! No FEAR!! He is working on giving up the thumb sucking, but it is proving to be harder than Daddy thinks it should be (hey I know how hard it is I was a thumbsucker and lets just say I didn't quit at 6 or anywhere close to 6 and I turned out just fine!!)
So I guess that is life in paradise.. Crazy, Nuts, Loud, someone is always needing something, something is always needing done, but we are all here together, with food in our bellies, jobs to pay us, a roof over our head, house full of LOVE and their is always someone willing to play something with you or someone to cuddle with!! LIFE IS GOOD TODAY!!

Happy 5th Birthday Drew!!
I remember what I was doing 5 years ago today exactly and it was a CRAZY day!! It started off at 6a.m. with a phone call from my brother Jay saying that his wife was in labor! Then a phone call from one of my close friends who also happened to be be my sister in laws sister. We both played stupid not knowing if the other new about the upcoming arrival of our niece or nephew! Finally we both blurted out "have you talked to Jay" and realized we both knew what was happening! She came over and we waited and waited and waited until noon with no more phone calls to tell us the progress! We were getting worried and didn't know what to do so we decided to eat lunch and surely we would hear something so we jumped in our van and went to eat pizza and still not hearing any news decided to head to the hospital to demand answers!! When we got to the hospital we saw Jay coming out of a room and he came and told us they were taking Em back for a csection. We were so excited and scared! About 20 mins later Jay came back to a full waiting room (both sets of grandparents, 2 anxious Aunts,2 uncles,3 cousins)to tell us that my beautiful nephew Drew had arrived!! It was a wonderful day! I will never forget!! As you can tell just about as good as the birth of my own children!!
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DREW MICHAEL, WE WISH WE GOT TO SEE YOU MORE OFTEN!! MISS YOU TONS. HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

Carter Turns 6!!
Time is going so fast!! Today my little guy Carter turned 6!! Seems like just yesterday I was being admitted into the hospital to have this little guy! When he was born he had a Ton of jet black hair... Clint and I looked at each other and said "where did that come from"? He then grew into a cute 18 month old that liked to dance when we sang "Shake your booty Carter Trevin" and that was Cute!! From there he turned into a naughty but still sweet toddler always sucking his thumb and rubbing someones soft skin! Around the age of 3.5 he started his love of puzzles and moved fast from putting together 24 piece puzzles into 100 piece puzzles (and now he can do one in about 1 hour) and has moved into doing 500 piece puzzles! He loves math and is very good at adding and is trying to get the hang of subtraction! He is a natural at sports pretty much anything you play with him he gets the hang of really fast! He has a temper and doesn't really tolerate the little kids to well because they always get into his stuff!! or so he says!! He loves to dance anytime the radio is playing an upbeat song he is moving!! Of course his favorite thing to do since xmas is play his DS he can't get enough of it and is always looking for extra chores to do to earn more DS time!! He is a good boy and we are lucky to have him as part of our family!
We Love You Carter Trevin

Freaking out...
Some days go by and Maccoy's heart defect is there but it isn't haunting me.. Other days it's there and it consumes me.. Today it is consuming me.... Why my Baby? Its not fair and I want to SCREAM and throw a Tantrum like a 2 year old...What if? All these thoughts make them stop.. A lifetime of worry and wonder...My poor sweet baby..Why?? Please God let my baby be okay....

Brave Boy!!
Saturday 1-2-10 Mason came to me in the early afternoon and said "mom my top tooth is loose" any one that knows me knows I DON'T do Teeth (funny since in high school i thought of being a dental hygienist) so since Clint wasn't home I had to wiggle it to see how loose... I did and said "Bubba its loose but it's probably going to be a few weeks keep wiggling it". Around 11:00 that night the kids were just finishing up a movie and I was working on my blog when all the sudden Mallory comes running in saying "he pulled it" and Mason follows with a HUGE smile on his face and a tooth in his hand!! I couldn't believe my eyes! That tooth wasn't even that loose but all the sudden my BRAVE little BOY pulled that tooth! He said it didn't even hurt! So he was visited by the Good Old Tooth Fairy and was really excited to tell Daddy how Brave he had been!!
Firsts!
Today the Babies ate Sweet Potatoes and LOVED them!! They have had rice cereal and applesauce and didn't care for either one, but when I gave them the sweet potatoes tonight they loved them especially Cayne!! (pics coming)
They are both getting their First Tooth!! I noticed last night that Maccoy had a corner coming in on his bottom left tooth and then today I noticed Cayne also has a corner popping through his gums on the bottom left tooth!! No wonder they have been chewing on everything and been a little fussy!!
This morning Clint decided to give them each a biscuit to chew on and they absolutely thought that was the best thing ever!! They both screamed when we took them away :( poor guys!!
Cayne is making his way places some how! It is not a crawl but he scoots himself places! He gets up on all fours but isn't quit rocking back and forth yet, but it's coming and way to fast!
Just some things I want to remember!
ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I remember being a kid and saying "Mom" only to hear my mom reply "she left" and I never really understood why she would say that until this week... It is so frustrating to have someone yell MOM every two seconds and since the kids have been out of school for 3 whole weeks and we have either been sick or snowed in that is all I hear all day long "MOM" sometimes screamed, sometimes cried, sometimes spoken softly(although not very often) and it is getting really really really OLD. In fact as I write this I am hiding from the kids to get a break from it.. How long do you think it will be before they find me???
I think it's time I take a break from this house and my family!! Good thing it's grocery week! That means a few hours of alone time!! And when I return I will be so ready to hear that wonderful word...... "MOM" hopefully followed by a "I Love YOU"!

Time is Passing by so Fast!
The Babies are 6 months old today :( And I am sad! What happen to my cute little 6lb newborns? Man they sure don't stay little long.
Maccoy is weighing in at 16lbs9oz and Cayne is 17lb13oz. They both roll over from front to back and Cayne can even roll back over now! Cayne is my happy always smiling little clown! Reminds me so much of Carter when he was a baby. All I have to do is look at Cayne and say Hi and he just beams the most precious toothless smile that melts my heart! Maccoy is the more serious one of the two (alot like Mason as a baby) he is a tougher crowd when it comes to giving up those toothless grins, but when he does is is contagious u can't help but pick him up and squeeze him! Neither one of them can sit up alone and really aren't even close to being able to. I am not worried I know they will be just fine! Neither have said MaMa or DaDa although they do babble especially to each other! They are always holding hands if they are close enough to each other! They love all the attention they get from their brothers and sister! Cayne thinks Mallory is his 2nd mommy I am sure. She is always picking him up and playing with him she calls him "my little buddy". They love to hold rattles now and sit in their bumbo chair (very cool little thing never hand one with the other kids but well worth the money). Their most favorite toy would have to be the jumperoo! They could spend hours in that thing and man oh man can they get that thing rocking and it is hysterical to watch! Good work out for their legs too!
Unfortunately the last few months haven't been to fun with all the sickness we seem to have had in the house and this week is no different as the babies have caught yet another nasty cold which has lead us to the Dr. twice in 5 days, with two different antibiotics and ear infections one of which was really bad. So lots of sleepless nights, lots of ibuprofen/tylenol and ear drops and LOTS and LOTS of crying from both the babies and mommy but I think we are finally on the mend and of course as I write this I hear both babies coughing and choking on phlegm.. I hope this is our last round of illness for awhile but I wouldn't bet on it:(
The Twins are the perfect additions to our family and we couldn't imagine life without them! We love them soooooo much!!

WOW!!!
HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY TO MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND!!! We have been together for 15 years, 11 of them married and I still learn something new about this man at least once per week!!
I got pretty lucky when I married this guy at the young age of 19! He is a great father to our children! It puts a smile on my face to see how they react to him when he comes home from work! They all love him so much! He is never afraid to jump in and help with baths, fussy babies, homework, housework, laundry etc....(at least most of the time) He has a drive to learn new things and loves to teach the kids new things! He is ambitious, hardworking, loving, caring and a all around Wonderful Man! Don't get me wrong he has his faults, but I couldn't do this without him!
We Love You Honey!! Hoping to have you home for supper!!
